Por vezes, precisamos de centenas de páginas para contar uma história, mas há histórias que se escrevem em apenas uma linha. Os nano-contos conseguem-no. Romances, tragédias, ficção-científica, dramas e gargalhadas soltas com menos de 40 palavras. E primorosamente. Na Onoma, somos apaixonados por histórias e andamos a traduzi-las há mais de 23 anos, mantendo sempre o espírito da palavra original. As boas histórias devem chegar a mais gente e foi por isso que decidimos fazer com que alguns destes nano-contos falem alemão, francês, espanhol, árabe e tantas outras línguas, se possível.
Aqui vai a primeira:
“A sua alcunha era Babel e era alto como uma torre. Falava em português, escrevia em inglês, pensava em alemão e, diziam as más-línguas, beijava em latim.”

ometimes we need hundreds of pages to tell a story, but there are stories that can be told in just one single line. Nano-stories are just like that. Romance, tragedy, science-fiction, drama and laughter in less than 40 words. And exquisitely written. At Onoma, we’re passionate for stories and have been translating them for over 23 years, always keeping the spirit of the original word. Good stories should reach everyone and that is why we have decided to put some of these nano-stories into German, French, Spanish, Arabic and many other languages, if possible.
Here goes the first one:
“His nickname was Babel and he was tall as a tower. He could speak Portuguese, write in English, think in German and, rumour has it, he could kiss in Latin.”

Manchmal brauchen wir Hunderte von Seiten, um eine Geschichte zu erzählen, aber es gibt Geschichten, die kann man mit nur einer Zeile schreiben. Den Nano-Erzählungen gelingt das. Romane, Tragödien, Science-Fiction, Dramen und Komödien in weniger als 40 Wörtern. Und vorzüglich. Wir bei Onoma sind begeisterte Geschichtenleser und übersetzen sie seit mehr als 23 Jahren. Und dabei bewahren wir immer den Geist des Originals. Die guten Geschichten sollten ein großes Publikum haben, und deshalb lassen wir einige dieser Nano-Erzählungen Deutsch, Französisch, Spanisch, Arabisch und wenn möglich viele andere Sprachen sprechen.
