A 5 de maio assinala-se o dia da Língua Portuguesa e da cultura, que é celebrado como tal também nos restantes países que têm o Português como língua oficial (CPLP). A par de diversos eventos, não podiam deixar de vir novamente a palco os debates sobre a já não tão nova reforma ortográfica. Nós por cá gostaríamos de lhe falar sobre algo mais apelativo relativamente à nossa língua. Em Trás-os-Montes, mais concretamente em Bragança, irá finalmente nascer um museu dedicado à Língua Portuguesa. O plano já existe desde 2009, e agora que está concluída a fase de concurso, tem condições para avançar. O próprio Chefe de Estado está convencido com o projeto e defendeu que o Museu da Língua Portuguesa «não poderia encontrar melhor localização no país». Desconhece-se ainda para quando irá estar prevista a inauguração desta casa da língua. Mas até lá, pode sempre visitar em São Paulo o museu com o mesmo nome.

The 5th May marks the day of the Portuguese language and culture, an occasion that is also celebrated in the remaining countries where Portuguese is an official language (CPLP). Besides several events, debates are once again held on the not so new spelling reform. We would like to tell you something more appealing of our mother tongue. In Trás-os-Montes, more specifically in Bragança, a museum will be created focused on the Portuguese language. This idea dates back to 2009, and now that the tender stage has been completed, the project can move forward. The Head of State himself is convinced about the project and pointed out that the Language Museum ‘could not have a better location in the country’. It is not yet known when the inauguration of this house of language is expected to take place. But, until then, you can always visit the homonymous museum in São Paulo.

Der 5. Mai ist der Tag der portugiesischen Sprache und der Kultur und wird als solcher auch in den anderen Ländern mit Portugiesisch als Amtssprache (CPLP) begangen. Natürlich fanden neben vielen Veranstaltungen auch wieder Debatten über die inzwischen nicht mehr ganz so neue Orthographiereform statt, aber wir möchten Ihnen lieber Erfreuliches über unsere Sprache mitteilen. In Trâs-os-Montes, genauer in Bragança wird endlich ein Museum der portugiesischen Sprache entstehen. Der Plan existiert schon seit 2009, aber nun ist die Ausschreibungsphase beendet, und es kann beginnen. Der Präsident des Landes selbst ist überzeugt von dem Projekt und erklärte, einen besseren Ort für dieses Museum könne es in Portugal nicht geben. Wann dieses Haus der Sprache eröffnen wird, ist noch nicht bekannt. Aber bis dahin können Sie ja das gleichnamige Museum in São Paulo besuchen.
